We are a British pattern-led brand, with an elegantly retro ethos.  We design repeat patterns for licensing to many different sectors from homewares to fashion.   We also produce our own range of unique products applying our brand values of quality, purpose and timeless elegance with a twist.    

The Team consists of Louise Marshall, a textile designer who has over 10 years experience as a Production Manager for Orla Kiely and Anya Hindmarch, and Suzy Magni, a Graphic designer with 20 years experience in branding, illustration and packaging design.  All aspects of the designs are hand drawn by us and worked up in illustrator using many layers and tools we have developed to create the Spots and Stripes look.  

Our design style subtly incorporates a spot and a stripe, which we feel are the building blocks of design.  Using these core elements we create our own elegantly retro repeat patterns which take inspiration from the past but are brought up to date with a fresh, vibrant colour palette.

Our creative approach is to be ‘perfectly imperfect’ in everything we do. We want all our products to have 'old school' values and charm, we achieve that by making our designs a bit wibbly-wobbly with a handmade feel. We believe they have more character this way, and reflect our constant state of mind - that life can’t be perfect but perfectly imperfect will do.
